 Europe At War UPDATE

ok so far everything is going very smoothly, the 3d world runs fine, and the animation loader and AI functions run fine. the game is on course and should be released sometime late this year, as soon as we get a network coder.

as soon as you have a few models rigged send them to me so i can at least get some of the game done.
Im particulary looking for a 3d model of:
The Main Character
and maybe a few weapons.

As of right now im not really looking for models of the environment, but they would be nice to have.

that's awesome! So you ported the source over to the new version?

Im currently finnishing up the german soldier, I will send him to you as soon as Im done.

You didnt have to implement the AI since this is going to be multiplayer only.
Btw would you like to make a simple gui? to load maps?

Yea i ported over the source.
Also i can make that GUI, thats easy but the only thing is it has to be in the .gfx format if its not a GFX file it wont load.
As for it being multiplayer only i was thinking we are going to need a Network coder, since i have only scratched the surface of networking(basically no experience)
Also i think it would be pretty cool to add a story , i could probally think up a story thats good enough to use... wait one second i forgot Esenthel doesnt support Networking & Multiplayer.

Also for the textures all of those will also have to be in the .gfx format too.
when the german soldier is ready all i really need is the .anim & .skel files, i dont think ill need the .mesh file but then again i could be wrong so you can just send them all.

Oh yeah i was wondering can you send me some of those .mesh files of those 3d weapons you made as long as their in the .mesh format.

Well, just use the GUI editor that comes with Esenthel Smile


I know, but I thought that you had years of experince with Raknet?

Ask around the Esenthel forums if you need help with implementing it.

Oh no you have it wrong i said i only have 1 month with RakNet.

Also what are we going to do about sound/music. we need a composer

The Internet doesnt really have any tutorials to help, but ill try again.

Lastly since i already started do you just want to go ahead and add a story, it wont take long and i already have some cool ideas about how the enemies will react. Also i have a Skype account: dorian.corbett

Maybe we can get someone from gamedev.com to help us with the networking.

we have a sound guy who´s doing the weapon sounds.

We dont need a story since its a WW2 mulitplayer game.
